My name is Serhii Matiushchenko – a technology professional with over 20 years of experience building and operating complex systems.

I started in IT in the early 2000s from technical support. From the beginning I was drawn to networks, network security, firewalls, and infrastructure. This interest led me to work as a Network Engineer before moving deeper into systems engineering and DevOps.

Over the years this path took me from hands-on network and security work to large-scale production environments and leadership roles.

Currently I work as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Salesforce, focusing on infrastructure, reliability, and cost efficiency at scale. Before that I led DevOps teams and delivered production systems for software companies.

I am a Member of IEEE, a Council Member of AITEX, and a Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS).

My core strengths lie in practical engineering:

  • Designing and optimizing cloud infrastructure (especially AWS)
  • Network and infrastructure security fundamentals
  • Improving system reliability and operational processes
  • Reducing infrastructure costs without sacrificing performance
  • Building automation and delivery pipelines that teams actually use

I also run my own operations outside of pure software engineering. This combination of enterprise-scale systems and hands-on business experience shapes how I approach problems: less theory, more results.

On this site I document real technical decisions, lessons from production, and practical approaches that worked.
